Context i història
Un dels textos més aguts de l'antiguitat sobre la soledat del poder: qui mana no pot fiar-se de ningú, ni de l'afecte que rep. Leo Strauss hi va dedicar un llibre sencer el 1948 —«On Tyranny»— que va obrir una polèmica famosa amb Kojève sobre filosofia i política.
