Contesto e storia
È la prima traduzione inglese completa fatta da un comitato di ebrei per lettori ebrei, e la differenza che più si nota è l'ordine: il Tanakh procede Torah, Neviim, Ketuvim, e non finisce dove finisce l'Antico Testamento cristiano. Chi vi cerchi capitoli con la numerazione di una Bibbia cristiana troverà scarti: non errori, ma due tradizioni di divisione del testo.
