Exod 36:30 So there were in all eight boards, and they had sixteen sockets of silver, to wit, two sockets under every board. Exod 36:31 He made also bars of setim wood, five to hold together the boards of one side of the tabernacle, Exod 36:32 And five others to join together the boards of the other side; and besides these, five other bars at the west side of the tabernacle towards the sea. Exod 36:33 He made also another bar, that might come by the midst of the boards from corner to corner. Exod 36:34 And the boards themselves he overlaid with gold casting for them sockets of silver. And their rings he made of gold, through which the bars might be drawn: and he covered the bars themselves with plates of gold. Exod 36:35 He made also a veil of violet, and purple, scarlet and fine twisted linen, varied and distinguished with embroidery: Exod 36:36 And four pillars of setim wood, which with their heads he overlaid with gold, casting for them sockets of silver. Exod 36:37 He made also a hanging in the entry of the tabernacle of violet, purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen, with the work of an embroiderer. Exod 36:38 And five pillars with their heads, which he covered with gold, and their sockets he cast of brass.
Exod 37:1 And Beseleel made also, the ark of setim wood: it was two cubits and a half in length, and a cubit and a half in breadth, and the height was of one cubit and a half: and he overlaid it with the purest gold within and without. Exod 37:2 And he made to it a crown of gold round about, Exod 37:3 Casting four rings of gold at the four corners thereof: two rings in one side, and two in the other. Exod 37:4 And he made bars of setim wood, which he overlaid with gold, Exod 37:5 And he put them into the rings that were at the sides of the ark to carry it. Exod 37:6 He made also the propitiatory, that is, the oracle, of the purest gold, two cubits and a half in length, and a cubit and a half in breadth. Exod 37:7 Two cherubims also of beaten gold, which he set on the two sides of the propitiatory: Exod 37:8 One cherub in the top of one side, and the other cherub in the top of the other side: two cherubims at the two ends of the propitiatory, Exod 37:9 Spreading their wings, and covering the propitiatory, and looking one towards the other, and towards it. Exod 37:10 He made also the table of setim wood, in length two cubits, and in breadth one cubit, and in height it was a cubit and a half.
Exod 37:11 And he overlaid it with the finest gold, and he made to it a golden ledge round about, Exod 37:12 And to the ledge itself he made a polished crown of gold, of four fingers breadth, and upon the same another golden crown. Exod 37:13 And he cast four rings of gold, which he put in the four corners at each foot of the table, Exod 37:14 Over against the crown: and he put the bars into them, that the table might be carried. Exod 37:15 The bars also themselves he made of setim wood, and overlaid them with gold. Exod 37:16 And the vessels for the divers uses of the table, dishes, bowls, and cups, and censers of pure gold, wherein the libations are to be offered. Exod 37:17 He made also the candlestick of beaten work of the finest gold. from the shaft whereof its branches, its cups, and bowls, and lilies came out: Exod 37:18 Six on the two sides: three branches on one side, and three on the other. Exod 37:19 Three cups in manner of a nut on each branch, and bowls withal and lilies: and three cups of the fashion of a nut in another branch, and bowls withal and lilies. The work of the six branches, that went out from the shaft of the candlestick was equal.
Exod 37:20 And in the shaft itself were four cups after the manner of a nut, and bowls withal at every one, and lilies: Exod 37:21 And bowls under two branches in three places, which together made six branches going out from one shaft. Exod 37:22 So both the bowls, and the branches were of the same, all beaten work of the purest gold. Exod 37:23 He made also the seven lamps with their snuffers, and the vessels where the snuffings were to be put out, of the purest gold. Exod 37:24 The candlestick with all the vessels thereof weighed a talent of gold. Exod 37:25 He made also the alter of incense of setim wood, being a cubit on every side foursquare, and in height two cubits: from the corners of which went out horns. Exod 37:26 And he overlaid it with the purest gold, with its grate, and the sides, and the horns. Exod 37:27 And he made to it a crown of gold round about, and two golden rings under the crown at each side, that the bars might be put into them, and the altar be carried. Exod 37:28 And the bars themselves he made also of setim wood, and overlaid them with plates of gold.
Exod 37:29 He compounded also the oil for the ointment of sanctification, and incense of the purest spices, according to the work of a perfumer. Exod 38:1 He made also the altar of holocaust of setim wood, five cubits square, and three in height: Exod 38:2 The horns whereof went out from the corners, and he overlaid it with plates of brass. Exod 38:3 And for the uses thereof, he prepared divers vessels of brass, cauldrons, tongs, fleshhooks, pothooks and firepans. Exod 38:4 And he made the grate thereof of brass, in manner of a net, and under it in the midst of the altar a hearth, Exod 38:5 Casting four rings at the four ends of the net at the top, to put in bars to carry it: Exod 38:6 And he made the bars of setim wood, and overlaid them with plates of brass: Exod 38:7 And he drew them through the rings that stood out in the sides of the altar. And the altar itself was not solid, but hollow, of boards, and empty within. Exod 38:8 He made also the laver of brass, with the foot thereof, of the mirrors of the women that watched at the door of the tabernacle. Exod 38:9 He made also the court, in the south side whereof were hangings of fine twisted linen of a hundred cubits.
Exod 38:10 Twenty pillars of brass with their sockets, the heads of the pillars, and the whole graving of the work, of silver. Exod 38:11 In like manner at the north side the hangings, the pillars, and the sockets and heads of the pillars were of the same measure, and work and metal. Exod 38:12 But on that side that looketh to the west, there were hangings of fifty cubits, ten pillars of brass with their sockets, and the heads of the pillars, and all the graving of the work, of silver. Exod 38:13 Moreover, towards the east he prepared hangings of fifty cubits: Exod 38:14 Fifteen cubits of which, were on one side with three pillars, and their sockets: Exod 38:15 And on the other side (for between the two he made the entry of the tabernacle) there were hangings equally of fifteen cubits, and three pillars, and as many sockets. Exod 38:16 All the hangings of the court were woven with twisted linen. Exod 38:17 The sockets of the pillars were of brass, and their heads with all their gravings of silver: and he overlaid the pillars of the court also with silver.
Exod 38:18 And he made in the entry thereof an embroidered hanging of violet, purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen, that was twenty cubits long, and five cubits high, according to the measure of all the hangings of the court. Exod 38:19 And the pillars in the entry were four, with sockets of brass, and their heads and gravings of silver. Exod 38:20 The pins also of the tabernacle and of the court round about he made of brass. Exod 38:21 These are the instruments of the tabernacle of the testimony, which were counted according to the commandment of Moses, in the ceremonies of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest: Exod 38:22 Which Beseleel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur of the tribe of Juda, had made, as the Lord commanded by Moses. Exod 38:23 Having for his companion Ooliab, the son of Achisamech, of the tribe of Dan: who also was an excellent artificer in wood, and worker in tapestry and embroidery in violet, purple, scarlet, and fine linen. Exod 38:24 All the gold that was spent in the work of the sanctuary, and that was offered in gifts, was nine and twenty talents, and seven hundred and thirty sicles according to the standard of the sanctuary.
Exod 38:25 And it was offered by them that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upwards, of six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty men able to bear arms. Exod 38:26 There were moreover a hundred talents of silver, whereof were cast the sockets of the sanctuary, and of the entry where the veil hangeth. Exod 38:27 A hundred sockets were made of a hundred talents, one talent being reckoned for every socket. Exod 38:28 And of the thousand seven hundred and seventy-five he made the heads of the pillars, which also he overlaid with silver. Exod 38:29 And there were offered of brass also seventy-two thousand talents, and four hundred sicles besides, Exod 38:30 Of which were cast the sockets in the entry of the tabernacle of the testimony, and the altar of brass with the grate thereof, and also the vessels that belong to the use thereof. Exod 38:31 And the sockets of the court as well round about as in the entry thereof, and the pins of the tabernacle, and of the court round about. Exod 39:1 And he made, of violet and purple, scarlet and fine linen, the vestments for Aaron to wear when he ministered in the holy places, as the Lord commanded Moses. Exod 39:2 So he made an ephod of gold, violet, and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine twisted linen, Exod 39:3 With embroidered work, and he cut thin plates of gold, and drew them small into threads, that they might be twisted with the woof of the foresaid colours, Exod 39:4 And two borders coupled one to the other in the top on either side, Exod 39:5 And a girdle of the same colours, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Exod 39:6 He prepared also two onyx stones, fast set and closed in gold, and graven, by the art of a lapidary, with the names of the children of Israel: Exod 39:7 And he set them in the sides of the ephod, for a memorial of the children of Israel, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Exod 39:8 He made also a rational with embroidered work, according to the work of the ephod, of gold, violet, purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine twisted linen: Exod 39:9 Foursquare, double, of the measure of a span. Exod 39:10 And he set four rows of precious stones in it. In the first row was a sardius, a topaz, an emerald. Exod 39:11 In the second, a carbuncle, a sapphire, and a jasper. Exod 39:12 In the third, a ligurius, an agate, and an amethyst. Exod 39:13 In the fourth, a chrysolite, an onyx, and a beryl, set and enclosed in gold by their rows.
Exod 39:14 And the twelve stones, were engraved with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel, each one with its several name. Exod 39:15 They made also in the rational little chains, linked one to another, of the purest gold, Exod 39:16 And two hooks, and as many rings of gold. And they set the rings on either side of the rational, Exod 39:17 On which rings the two golden chains should hang, which they put into the hooks that stood out in the corners of the ephod. Exod 39:18 These both before and behind so answered one another, that the ephod and the rational were bound together, Exod 39:19 Being fastened to the girdle, and strongly coupled with rings, which a violet fillet joined, lest they should flag loose, and be moved one from the other, as the Lord commanded Moses. Exod 39:20 They made also the tunic of the ephod all of violet, Exod 39:21 And a hole for the head in the upper part at the middle, and a woven border round about the hole: Exod 39:22 And beneath at the feet pomegranates of violet, purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen: Exod 39:23 And little bells of the purest gold, which they put between the pomegranates at the bottom of the tunic round about: Exod 39:24 To wit, a bell of gold, and a pomegranate, wherewith the high priest went adorned, when he discharged his ministry, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Exod 39:25 They made also fine linen tunics with woven work for Aaron and his sons: Exod 39:26 And mitres with their little crowns of fine linen: Exod 39:27 And linen breeches of fine linen: Exod 39:28 And a girdle of fine twisted linen, violet, purple, and scarlet twice dyed, of embroidery work, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Exod 39:29 They made also the plate of sacred veneration of the purest gold, and they wrote on it with the engraving of a lapidary: The Holy of the Lord: Exod 39:30 And they fastened it to the mitre with a violet fillet, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Exod 39:31 So all the work of the tabernacle and of the roof of the testimony was finished: and the children of Israel did all things which the Lord had commanded Moses. Exod 39:32 And they offered the tabernacle, and the roof, and the whole furniture, the rings, the boards, the bars, the pillars and their sockets, Exod 39:33 The cover of rams' skins dyed red, and the other cover of violet skins, Exod 39:34 The veil, the ark, the bars, the propitiatory, Exod 39:35 The table, with the vessels thereof, and the loaves of proposition: Exod 39:36 The candlestick, the lamps, and the furniture of them, with the oil: Exod 39:37 The altar of gold, and the ointment, and the incense of spices: Exod 39:38 And the hanging in the entry of the tabernacle: Exod 39:39 The altar of brass, the grate, the bars, and all the vessels thereof: the laver, with the foot thereof: the hangings of the court, and the pillars, with their sockets: Exod 39:40 The hanging in the entry of the court, and the little cords, and the pins thereof. Nothing was wanting of the vessels, that were commanded to be made for the ministry of the tabernacle, and for the roof of the covenant. Exod 39:41 The vestments also, which the priests, to wit, Aaron and his sons, use in the sanctuary, Exod 39:42 The children of Israel offered, as the Lord had commanded. Exod 39:43 And when Moses saw all things finished, he blessed them. Exod 40:1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Exod 40:2 The first month, the first day of the month, thou shalt set up the tabernacle of the testimony, Exod 40:3 And shalt put the ark in it, and shalt let down the veil before it: Exod 40:4 And thou shalt bring in the table, and set upon it the things that are commanded according to the rite. The candlestick shall stand with its lamps, Exod 40:5 And the altar of gold, whereon the incense is burnt before the ark of the testimony. Thou shalt put the hanging in the entry of the tabernacle, Exod 40:6 And before it the altar of holocaust. Exod 40:7 The laver between the altar and the tabernacle, and thou shalt fill it with water. Exod 40:8 And thou shalt encompass the court with hangings, and the entry thereof. Exod 40:9 And thou shalt take the oil of unction and anoint the tabernacle with its vessels, that they may be sanctified: Exod 40:10 The altar of holocaust and all its vessels: Exod 40:11 The laver with its foot: thou shalt consecrate all with the oil of unction, that they may be most holy. Exod 40:12 And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, and having washed them with water, Exod 40:13 Thou shalt put on them the holy vestments, that they may minister to me, and that the unction of them may prosper to an everlasting priesthood. Exod 40:14 And Moses did all that the Lord had commanded.
Exod 40:15 So in the first month of the second year, the first day of the month, the tabernacle was set up. Exod 40:16 And Moses reared it up, and placed the boards and the sockets and the bars, and set up the pillars, Exod 40:17 And spread the roof over the tabernacle, putting over it a cover, as the Lord had commanded. Exod 40:18 And he put the testimony in the ark, thrusting bars underneath, and the oracle above. Exod 40:19 And when he had brought the ark into the tabernacle, he drew the veil before it to fulfil the commandment of the Lord. Exod 40:20 And he set the table in the tabernacle of the testimony, at the north side, without the veil, Exod 40:21 Setting there in order the loaves of proposition, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Exod 40:22 He set the candlestick also in the tabernacle of the testimony, over against the table on the south side, Exod 40:23 Placing the lamps in order, according to the precept of the Lord. Exod 40:24 He set also the altar of gold under the roof of the testimony, over against the veil, Exod 40:25 And burnt upon it the incense of spices, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Exod 40:26 And he put also the hanging in the entry of the tabernacle of the testimony, Exod 40:27 And the altar of holocaust in the entry of the testimony, offering the holocaust, and the sacrifices upon it, as the Lord had commanded. Exod 40:28 And he set the laver between the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar, filling it with water. Exod 40:29 And Moses and Aaron, and his sons, washed their hands and feet, Exod 40:30 When they went into the tabernacle of the covenant, and went to the altar, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Exod 40:31 He set up also the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, drawing the hanging in the entry thereof. After all things were perfected, Exod 40:32 The cloud covered the tabernacle of the testimony, and the glory of the Lord filled it. Exod 40:33 Neither could Moses go into the tabernacle of the covenant, the cloud covering all things, and the majesty of the Lord shining, for the cloud had covered all. Exod 40:34 If at any time the cloud removed from the tabernacle, the children of Israel went forward by their troops: Exod 40:35 If it hung over, they remained in the same place. Exod 40:36 For the cloud of the Lord hung over the tabernacle by day, and a fire by night, in the sight of all the children of Israel throughout all their mansions.
Lev 1:1 And the Lord called Moses, and spoke to him from the tabernacle of the testimony, saying: Lev 1:2 Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: The man among you that shall offer to the Lord a sacrifice of the cattle, that is, offering victims of oxen and sheep: Lev 1:3 If his offering be a holocaust, and of the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish, at the door of the testimony, to make the Lord favourable to him. Lev 1:4 And he shall put his hand upon the head of the victim: and it shall be acceptable, and help to its expiation. Lev 1:5 And he shall immolate the calf before the Lord: and the priests the sons of Aaron shall offer the blood thereof, pouring it round about the altar, which is before the door of the tabernacle. Lev 1:6 And when they have flayed the victim, they shall cut the joints into pieces: Lev 1:7 And shall put fire on the altar, having before laid in order a pile of wood. Lev 1:8 And they shall lay the parts that are cut out in order thereupon: to wit, the head, and all things that cleave to the liver; Lev 1:9 The entrails and feet being washed with water. And the priest shall burn them upon the altar for a holocaust, and a sweet savour to the Lord. Lev 1:10 And if the offering be of the flocks, a holocaust of sheep or of goats, he shall offer a male without blemish.
Lev 1:11 And he shall immolate it at the side of the altar that looketh to the north, before the Lord: but the sons of Aaron shall pour the blood thereof upon the altar round about. Lev 1:12 And they shall divide the joints, the head, and all that cleave to the liver: and shall lay them upon the wood, under which the fire is to be put. Lev 1:13 But the entrails and the feet they shall wash with water. And the priest shall offer it all and burn it all upon the altar for a holocaust, and most sweet savour to the Lord. Lev 1:14 But if the oblation of a holocaust to the Lord be of birds, of turtles, or of young pigeons: Lev 1:15 The priest shall offer it at the altar: and twisting back the neck, and breaking the place of the wound, he shall make the blood run down upon the brim of the altar. Lev 1:16 But the crop of the throat, and the feathers he shall cast beside the altar at the east side, in the place where the ashes are wont to be poured out. Lev 1:17 And he shall break the pinions thereof, and shall not cut, nor divide it with a knife: and shall burn it upon the altar, putting fire under the wood. It is a holocaust and oblation of most sweet savour to the Lord.
Lev 2:1 When any one shall offer an oblation of sacrifice to the Lord, his offering shall be of fine flour: and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense, Lev 2:2 And shall bring it to the sons of Aaron the priests. And one of them shall take a handful of the flour and oil, and all the frankincense; and shall put it a memorial upon the altar for a most sweet savour to the Lord. Lev 2:3 And the remnant of the sacrifice shall be Aaron's, and his sons', holy of holies of the offerings of the Lord. Lev 2:4 But when thou offerest a sacrifice baked in the oven of flour, to wit, loaves without leaven, tempered with oil, and unleavened wafers, anointed with oil: Lev 2:5 If thy oblation be from the fryingpan, of flour tempered with oil, and without leaven: Lev 2:6 Thou shalt divide it into little pieces, and shalt pour oil upon it. Lev 2:7 And if the sacrifice be from the gridiron, in like manner the flour shall be tempered with oil. Lev 2:8 And when thou offerest it to the Lord, thou shalt deliver it to the hands of the priest. Lev 2:9 And when he hath offered it, he shall take a memorial out of the sacrifice, and burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour to the Lord.
Lev 2:10 And whatsoever is left, shall be Aaron's, and his sons': holy of holies of the offerings of the Lord. Lev 2:11 Every oblation that is offered to the Lord shall be made without leaven: neither shall any leaven or honey be burnt in the sacrifice to the Lord. Lev 2:12 You shall offer only the firstfruits of them and gifts: but they shall not be put upon the altar, for a savour of sweetness. Lev 2:13 Whatsoever sacrifice thou offerest, thou shalt season it with salt: neither shalt thou take away the salt of the covenant of thy God from thy sacrifice. In all thy oblations thou shalt offer salt. Lev 2:14 But if thou offer a gift of the firstfruits of thy corn to the Lord, of the ears yet green, thou shalt dry it at the fire, and break it small like meal; and so shalt thou offer thy firstfruits to the Lord: Lev 2:15 Pouring oil upon it and putting on frankincense, because it is the oblation of the Lord. Lev 2:16 Whereof the priest shall burn for a memorial of the gift, part of the corn broken small and of the oil, and all the frankincense. Lev 3:1 And if his oblation be a sacrifice of peace offerings, and he will offer of the herd, whether male or female: he shall offer them without blemish before the Lord.
Lev 3:2 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his victim, which shall be slain in the entry of the tabernacle of the testimony: and the sons of Aaron the priests shall pour the blood round about upon the altar. Lev 3:3 And they shall offer of the sacrifice of peace offerings, for an oblation to the Lord: the fat that covereth the entrails, and all the fat that is within, Lev 3:4 The two kidneys with the fat wherewith the flanks are covered, and the caul of the liver with the two little kidneys. Lev 3:5 And they shall burn them upon the altar, for a holocaust, putting fire under the wood: for an oblation of most sweet savour to the Lord. Lev 3:6 But if his oblation and the sacrifice of peace offering be of the flock, whether he offer male or female, they shall be without blemish. Lev 3:7 If he offer a lamb before the Lord: Lev 3:8 He shall put his hand upon the head of the victim. And it shall be slain in the entry of the tabernacle of the testimony: and the sons of Aaron shall pour the blood thereof round about upon the altar. Lev 3:9 And they shall offer of the victim of peace offerings, a sacrifice to the Lord: the fat and the whole rump, Lev 3:10 With the kidneys, and the fat that covereth the belly and all the vitals and both the little kidneys, with the fat that is about the flanks, and the caul of the liver with the little kidneys. Lev 3:11 And the priest shall burn them upon the altar, for the food of the fire, and of the oblation of the Lord. Lev 3:12 If his offering be a goat, and he offer it to the Lord: Lev 3:13 He shall put his hand upon the head thereof: and shall immolate it in the entry of the tabernacle of the testimony. And the sons of Aaron shall pour the blood thereof round about upon the altar. Lev 3:14 And they shall take of it for the food of the Lord's fire, the fat that covereth the belly, and that covereth all the vital parts: Lev 3:15 The two little kidneys with the caul that is upon them which is by the flanks, and the fat of the liver with the little kidneys. Lev 3:16 And the priest shall burn them upon the altar, for the food of the fire, and of a most sweet savour. All the fat shall be the Lord's. Lev 3:17 By a perpetual law for your generations, and in all your habitations: neither blood nor fat shall you eat at all. Lev 4:1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Lev 4:2 Say to the children of Israel: The soul that sinneth through ignorance, and doth any thing concerning any of the commandments of the Lord, which he commanded not to be done: Lev 4:3 If the priest that is anointed shall sin, making the people to offend, he shall offer to the Lord for his sin a calf without blemish. Lev 4:4 And he shall bring it to the door of the testimony before the Lord: and shall put his hand upon the head thereof, and shall sacrifice it to the Lord. Lev 4:5 He shall take also of the blood of the calf: and carry it into the tabernacle of the testimony. Lev 4:6 And having dipped his finger in the blood, he shall sprinkle with it seven times before the Lord, before the veil of the sanctuary. Lev 4:7 And he shall put some of the same blood upon the horns of the altar of the sweet incense most acceptable to the Lord, which is in the tabernacle of the testimony. And he shall pour all the rest of the blood at the foot of the altar of holocaust in the entry of the tabernacle. Lev 4:8 And he shall take off the fat of the calf for the sin offering, as well that which covereth the entrails, as all the inwards: Lev 4:9 The two little kidneys, and the caul that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the fat of the liver with the little kidneys: Lev 4:10 As it is taken off from the calf of the sacrifice of peace offerings. And he shall burn them upon the altar of holocaust.
Lev 4:11 But the skin and all the flesh with the head and the feet and the bowels and the dung: Lev 4:12 And the rest of the body, he shall carry forth without the camp into a clean place where the ashes are wont to be poured out: and he shall burn them upon a pile of wood. They shall be burnt in the place where the ashes are poured out. Lev 4:13 And if all the multitude of Israel shall be ignorant, and through ignorance shall do that which is against the commandment of the Lord, Lev 4:14 And afterwards shall understand their sin: they shall offer for their sin a calf, and shall bring it to the door of the tabernacle. Lev 4:15 And the ancients of the people shall put their hands upon the head thereof before the Lord. And the calf being immolated in the sight of the Lord: Lev 4:16 The priest that is anointed shall carry of the blood into the tabernacle of the testimony. Lev 4:17 And shall dip his finger in it and sprinkle it seven times before the veil.
Lev 4:18 And he shall put of the same blood on the horns of the altar that is before the Lord, in the tabernacle of the testimony. And the rest of the blood he shall pour at the foot of the altar of holocaust, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony. Lev 4:19 And all the fat thereof he shall take off, and shall burn it upon the altar: Lev 4:20 Doing so with this calf, as he did also with that before. And the priest praying for them, the Lord will be merciful unto them. Lev 4:21 But the calf itself he shall carry forth without the camp, and shall burn it as he did the former calf: because it is for the sin of the multitude. Lev 4:22 If a prince shall sin, and through ignorance do any one of the things that the law of the Lord forbiddeth, Lev 4:23 And afterwards shall come to know his sin: he shall offer a buck goat without blemish, a sacrifice to the Lord. Lev 4:24 And he shall put his hand upon the head thereof: and when he hath immolated it in the place where the holocaust is wont to be slain before the Lord, because it is for sin, Lev 4:25 The priest shall dip his finger in the blood of the victim for sin, touching therewith the horns of the altar of holocaust, and pouring out the rest at the foot thereof.
Lev 4:26 But the fat he shall burn upon it, as is wont to be done with the victims of peace offerings. And the priest shall pray for him, and for his sin: and it shall be forgiven him. Lev 4:27 And if any one of the people of the land shall sin through ignorance, doing any of those things that by the law of the Lord are forbidden, and offending, Lev 4:28 And shall come to know his sin: he shall offer a she goat without blemish. Lev 4:29 And he shall put his hand upon the head of the victim that is for sin: and shall immolate it in the place of the holocaust. Lev 4:30 And the priest shall take of the blood with his finger, and shall touch the horns of the altar of holocaust: and shall pour out the rest at the foot thereof. Lev 4:31 But taking off all the fat, as is wont to be taken away of the victims of peace offerings, he shall burn it upon the altar, for a sweet savour to the Lord: and he shall pray for him, and it shall be forgiven him. Lev 4:32 But if he offer of the flock a victim for his sin, to wit, an ewe without blemish: Lev 4:33 He shall put his hand upon the head thereof, and shall immolate it in the place where the victims of holocausts are wont to be slain.

And he shall pray for him and his sin, and it shall be forgiven him. Lev 5:1 If any one sin, and hear the voice of one swearing, and is a witness either because he himself hath seen, or is privy to it: if he do not utter it, he shall bear his iniquity. Lev 5:2 Whosoever toucheth any unclean thing, either that which hath been killed by a beast, or died of itself, or any other creeping thing: and forgetteth his uncleanness, he is guilty, and hath offended. Lev 5:3 And if he touch any thing of the uncleanness of man, according to any uncleanness wherewith he is wont to be defiled: and having forgotten it, come afterwards to know it, he shall be guilty of an offence. Lev 5:4 The person that sweareth, and uttereth with his lips, that he would do either evil or good, and bindeth the same with an oath, and his word: and having forgotten it afterwards understandeth his offence, Lev 5:5 Let him do penance for his sin: Lev 5:6 And offer of the flocks an ewe lamb, or a she goat, and the priest shall pray for him and for his sin. Lev 5:7 But if he be not able to offer a beast, let him offer two turtles, or two young pigeons to the Lord, one for sin, and the other for a holocaust, Lev 5:8 And he shall give them to the priest: who shall offer the first for sin, and twist back the head of it to the little pinions, so that it stick to the neck, and be not altogether broken off. Lev 5:9 And of its blood he shall sprinkle the side of the altar: and whatever is left, he shall let it drop at the bottom thereof, because it is for sin. Lev 5:10 And the other he shall burn for a holocaust, as is wont to be done. And the priest shall pray for him, and for his sin, and it shall be forgiven him. Lev 5:11 And if his hand be not able to offer two turtles, or two young pigeons, he shall offer for his sin the tenth part of an ephi of flour. He shall not put oil upon it, nor put any frankincense thereon, because it is for sin. Lev 5:12 And he shall deliver it to the priest, who shall take a handful thereof, and shall burn it upon the altar for a memorial of him that offered it: Lev 5:13 Praying for him and making atonement. But the part that is left, he himself shall have for a gift. Lev 5:14 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Lev 5:15 If any one shall sin through mistake, transgressing the ceremonies in those things that are sacrificed to the Lord, he shall offer for his offence a ram without blemish out of the flocks, that may be bought for two sicles, according to the weight of the sanctuary. Lev 5:16 And he shall make good the damage itself which he hath done, and shall add the fifth part besides, delivering it to the priest, who shall pray for him, offering the ram: and it shall be forgiven him. Lev 5:17 If any one sin through ignorance, and do one of those things which by the law of the Lord are forbidden, and being guilty of sin, understand his iniquity: Lev 5:18 He shall offer of the flocks a ram without blemish to the priest, according to the measure and estimation of the sin. And the priest shall pray for him, because he did it ignorantly: And it shall be forgiven him, Lev 5:19 Because by mistake he trespassed against the Lord. Lev 6:1 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Lev 6:2 Whosoever shall sin, and despising the Lord, shall deny to his neighbour the thing delivered to his keeping, which was committed to his trust; or shall by force extort any thing, or commit oppression; Lev 6:3 Or shall find a thing lost, and denying it, shall also swear falsely, or shall do any other of the many things, wherein men are wont to sin: Lev 6:4 Being convicted of the offence, he shall restore Lev 6:5 All that he would have gotten by fraud, in the principal, and the fifth part besides, to the owner, whom he wronged. Lev 6:6 Moreover for his sin he shall offer a ram without blemish out of the flock: and shall give it to the priest, according to the estimation and measure of the offence. Lev 6:7 And he shall pray for him before the Lord: and he shall have forgiveness for every thing in doing of which he bath sinned. Lev 6:8 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Lev 6:9 Command Aaron and his sons: This is the law of a holocaust. It shall be burnt upon the altar, all night until morning: the fire shall be of the same altar. Lev 6:10 The priest shall be vested with the tunick and the linen breeches; and he shall take up the ashes of that which the devouring fire hath burnt: and putting them beside the altar, Lev 6:11 Shall put off his former vestments, and being clothed with others, shall carry them forth without the camp, and shall cause them to be consumed to dust in a very clean place.
