Context i història
El títol ho diu però convé remarcar-ho: això és un tros, no una obra. Al catàleg hi ha també el primer volum sencer d'una altra edició, i les dues coses se superposen. Passa perquè les fonts digitals van dividir el text de maneres diferents. La Història de Hume és una obra contínua que va de la invasió romana al 1688; qui hi busqui alguna cosa concreta farà bé de mirar primer l'entrada del volum complet, i de citar sempre pel regnat i el capítol.
