La mateixa història que Èsquil i Eurípides també van tractar, cosa que la fa única: es poden comparar tres tragèdies gregues sobre el mateix fet. En Sòfocles, Electra és el centre i el matricidi no es qüestiona. Traducció anglesa; el grec no és al catàleg.
