De què tracta
Volum 6 de deu del «Diccionari filosòfic». Fanaticism – Ignorance. Hi ha «Guerre», on diu que la guerra és el resum de tots els crims.
Context i història
El format és l'argument: un diccionari es consulta, no es llegeix seguit, i això el feia impossible de refutar en bloc i fàcil de fer circular clandestinament. Voltaire el va publicar anònimament el 1764 i el van cremar a Ginebra i a París. Avís d'edició: al catàleg hi ha DUES edicions del «Diccionari filosòfic» — aquesta en deu volums i una altra en un de sol, «Voltaire's Philosophical Dictionary». No són cap duplicat: són tries i traduccions diferents, i els articles no s'hi corresponen un a un. L'original és francès.
Context editorial, no una font citable: a diferència dels passatges de l'obra, aquestes dades no es poden contrastar amb el corpus.
