Kontext und Geschichte
Gegen körperliche Strafen und gegen das Warten, bis das Kind «alt genug» ist: Erasmus behauptet, die Erziehung beginne sofort und solle ein Vergnügen sein. Es ist einer der Texte, die die moderne Schule gemacht haben, und wie deutlich er es sagt, überrascht noch immer. Eine englische Übersetzung. Das Latein des Erasmus, das zitiert werden sollte, steht im Katalog nur in der Briefanthologie.
