Kontext und Geschichte
Philon ist uns als eine Menge selbständiger Traktate überliefert, und die Einteilung in Bände stammt von Yonges englischer Ausgabe des 19. Jahrhunderts, nicht von Philon. Die brauchbare Angabe ist daher der Traktattitel samt Paragraphenzahl, nicht der Band: So lässt sich in jeder Ausgabe nachprüfen. Und es gilt dasselbe wie beim ersten Band: Dieser Philon ist uns erhalten, weil Christen ihn abschrieben.
