The Hebrew text of the Jewish Bible according to the Leningrad Codex, the oldest complete manuscript of it that survives, with vowel points and accents.
संदर्भ और इतिहास
The codex was copied around 1008 in Egypt and underlies nearly every modern critical edition of the Old Testament. The Westminster transcription reproduces it with the vowel points and the cantillation accents — which are not decoration: they mark the syntax and how the text is sung. It sits here beside the JPS translation of 1917, which is its English version; anyone checking a word should come to this text and not to any translation.
