Contesto e storia
Per leggerlo servono due cose. La prima, che distingue Gesù — di cui parla con un rispetto sorprendente — dalla Chiesa e soprattutto da Paolo, che è il vero imputato. La seconda, la data: lo scrisse poche settimane prima del crollo di Torino, e il tono si sente. **Nota:** quest'opera è anche dentro il volume Crepuscolo degli idoli… L'Anticristo, che compare a parte; non sono un doppione. Traduzione inglese dall'edizione completa curata da Oscar Levy (1909-1913), quella di pubblico dominio. Ha più di un secolo e si sente. L'originale è TEDESCO, e le citazioni vanno fatte sull'originale: il catalogo ne ha due, Also sprach Zarathustra e Der Wille zur Macht; per il resto qui c'è solo la traduzione.

This book belongs to the most rare of men. Perhaps not one of them is yet alive. It is possible that they may be among those who understand my "Zarathustra": how _could_ I confound myself with those who are now sprouting ears?--First the day after tomorrow must come for me. Some men are born posthumously. The conditions under which any one understands me, and _necessarily_ understands me--I know them only too well. Even to endure my seriousness, my passion, he must carry intellectual integrity to the verge of hardness.
