背景与流传
此书失传数百年,世人只闻其名。一九〇五年,一位班智达把一部贝叶写本交给迈索尔东方图书馆,由 R. 沙马沙斯特里辨识并整理刊行:在此之前,近代无人读过它。归于旃陀罗笈多之相考底利耶的说法出自传统,但专家把现存文本的年代定得晚得多,并认为它是层层累积而成的作品。
