Kontext und Geschichte
An Kaiser Antoninus Pius gerichtet: ein bekehrter Philosoph behauptet, die Christen seien weder Gottlose noch Aufrührer, und erklärt, was sie tun, wenn sie zusammenkommen. Ihre Beschreibung von Taufe und Eucharistie ist die älteste erhaltene außerhalb der Evangelien. Justin wurde enthauptet, daher der Beiname Märtyrer.
