Y vale la pena repetir lo que importa de Diógenes: no era filósofo sino compilador, mezcla el hecho comprobable con la anécdota y el rumor sin advertirlo, y aun así es insustituible, porque de muchos filósofos antiguos es la única fuente que nos ha llegado.
