Publicado en 1893. La primera parte desmonta, la segunda construye, y el argumento decisivo es el de las relaciones: ninguna manera de relacionar dos cosas resiste el análisis sin generar otra. Leerlo explica por qué Russell y Moore fundaron la filosofía analítica: la fundaron contra este libro, y sin saber qué decía no se entiende contra qué reaccionaban.
