背景と歴史
ユダヤ人の委員会がユダヤ人読者のために作った最初の完訳であり、まず目につく違いは配列である。タナハはトーラー、預言者、諸書の順に進み、キリスト教の旧約が終わる場所では終わらない。キリスト教聖書の章節番号で探すと食い違いに出くわすが、それは誤りではなく、本文を区切る二つの伝統の違いである。
