Контекст и история
Издано в 1674-75 годах. В настоящем издании помещён также «Трактат о природе и благодати». Малебранш исходит из Декарта и приходит совсем в иное место — к окказионализму, где называемое нами причинами есть лишь повод для действия Бога. Следствие радикально, и именно о нём с ним спорили Арно и Лейбниц: если всё делает Бог, что остаётся от нас.
