一六七四至七五年出版。此版另收《论自然与恩典》。马勒伯朗士从笛卡尔出发,却抵达了迥然不同的地方:偶因论——我们所谓的原因,不过是上帝行动的机缘。这一结论极为激进,也正是阿尔诺与莱布尼茨与他争辩之处:若一切皆由上帝所为,我们还剩下什么。
