背景与流传
茨温利于一五一九年开始在苏黎世讲道，比路德的论纲晚两年；他坚称自己是读伊拉斯谟与希腊文《新约》而得此立场，并非读路德。他一五二三年的《六十七条》即瑞士宗教改革的纲领。分裂之点在圣餐：路德以为基督的身体真实临在其中；茨温利则以为“这是我的身体”一语乃是比喻，圣礼不过是纪念。二人一五二九年在马尔堡会面，未能达成一致；那次分裂延续至今。茨温利死时四十七岁，手执兵刃，殁于天主教与改革宗各州之间的一场战役。
