Contexte et histoire
C'est le même ouvrage qui figure aussi au catalogue sous le titre The Voyage of the Beagle, et il vaut la peine de le dire pour qu'on ne croie pas que Darwin a écrit deux livres. C'est sous ce nom qu'il a paru ; celui de Voyage s'est imposé plus tard. La première édition est de 1839, la seconde, de 1845, réécrite en des points importants. Toute citation doit préciser l'édition employée, car les deux ne disent pas la même chose.
