背景と歴史
一八四〇年刊。この一文には、書物自身が加えていながら、引用にはほとんど添えられない限定がある。プルードンが攻撃するのは占有ではない。自分が働きかけたものを用いる権利ではなく、働きかけずに物から収入を得る権利としての所有、すなわち地代と利子である。また、自らをアナーキストと呼び、その語を引き受けた最初の書物でもある。マルクスは刊行時にこれを称賛し、七年後には厳しく攻撃した。その攻撃の書もまた本目録に収められている。
